best LCD does not have anything fancy like
Philips' Ambilight, a rich as Croesus feature set nor does it have the design excellence of Sony. But still, it impresses us squarely with its solid performance. Toshiba has seen to it that the TV is besprinkled with just the right proportions of everything to render pictures that are pleasing to the eyes.
The 37RV665DB sports a smooth black design which does not stand out it anyway. But it's decent, nevertheless. The frame is a black rectangle with sharp edges looks like Toshiba does not believe in conspicuousness. But pictures the TV takes them by the scruff of the neck. It's in complete control with everything contrast, colours and brightness and it shows.

Unlike its rival models, this figure translates on-screen blacks are extremely rich and luscious, the quality which does not seem to wither even when viewed from a difficult angle. We even checked out shadow detail and found it to have a lot of body.
Colors are neutral even the brighter tones do not hurt the eye. And game mode is super-cool we just can't stop gushing about it! Toshiba also does its bit for the environment by providing their
LCD TV (including this one) with eco-panels that apparently consume lesser power than that of conventional
LCD TVs. We're not entirely sure of this we did not ascertain it in our laboratory.
Verdict
Toshiba Regza 37RV665DB is a neat little package of everything nice. It promises to be a safe bet.
