Toshiba Regza 47ZV635DB LCD TV

toshiba regza 47zv635db Toshiba Regza 47ZV635DB LCD TVTo be honest, after their Floating chair advert, I’ve started looking at Toshiba from a new perspective. Though some knocked it to be  a bit creepy and pointless, for me, Toshiba squarely succeeded in driving home the point. So, I sat up straight at the mention of Toshiba Regza 47ZV635DB 47” LCD TV. The TV looks downright refined; ‘ Deep Lagoon design’ is what Toshiba calls it. The entire frame has a transparent finish which protrudes just enough at the edges, giving it a whole new appeal. The stand however, is nothing different like Samsung’s ‘crystal neck’, but is decent nevertheless.

Picture quality of the Toshiba Regza 47ZV635DB HD Ready LCD TV is of a very high standard – Toshiba has taken every aspect into consideration. Be it brightness, contrast or colours, this LCD TV excels. The resolution of this TV is of course Full HD and the dynamic contrast ratio is a high 100000:1. The Resolution+ feature is where the 47ZV635DB falters, for the claim to render standard definition at near HD is not conformed to. SD images are decent, though. This LCD TV features the Active Vision M200HD processing technique, which “inserts black sections in-between frames”, according to Toshiba to achieve clear and detailed fast moving images. This picture processing does seem to have worked for Toshiba, unlike Resolution+.

This Regza is equipped with a Meta Brain as well and has 4 HDMIs along with an SD Slot, PC input, and a USB port capable of playing JPEG, MP3 and DivX formats. The Toshiba Regza 47ZV635DB works hard at satisfying hard core gamers and the eco-friendly alike with its brilliant Game Mode and the less power consuming Eco-panel. Integrated Dolby Volume which can adjust the volume fluctuations during commercial breaks is not all that prominent a feature, for at times, one does end up reducing the volume manually. Whatever be it, this Regza does give us the ‘armchair viewing redesigned’ feeling!
