Toshiba Regza 42RV635DB LCD TV

toshiba-42rv635db-lcdtvreviews.org.ukIf price matters and so does performance, then Toshiba is the one for you. Many of their models are comparatively cheaper than those from the other top brands, though the same can’t be said wholeheartedly of performance. But if you’re willing to overlook a few minor lags and wish to save a few major quids, the Toshiba Regza 42RV635DB 42” LCD TV could be an absolute winner in your camp. The LCD TV looks neat, with no extra ‘designer’ touches. Though I first begun with ‘Come on, gimme a break..’ as I got to look at it more, the smooth-finish black frame did take on an appealing look.

This LCD TV from Toshiba will definitely impress you with it’s smooth as ever pictures and neatly toned colours. But, black levels lack body. The 42RV635DB does make an effort though, it can’t be denied, but a futile one at that. But contrast is just perfect, the quoted dynamic contrast ratio of 50000:1, easily translated on screen. The Toshiba Regza 42RV635DB Full HD LCD TV sports Toshiba’s Resolution+ feature, which boasts to render SD in near high definition, but doesn’t do anything of that sort visibly. But the same can’t be said of the Auto View feature. When you turn off the lights, the TV’s backlight is visibly dimmed, which makes the viewing comfortable.

Toshiba’s 42RV635DB is well-suited to uphold a gamer’s needs, for he can plug in his console into one of the 4 HDMIs, turn on the Game Mode and enjoy an absolutely  superb gaming experience. Like most of Toshiba’s LCD TVs, the 42RV635DB features an Eco panel which supposedly consumes lesser power than conventional LCD TVs. This Regza comes with a standard aerial, so you can also receive digital broadcasts without the digital decoder box. Freeview quality is notable, there are hardly any judders at all. The 42RV635DB is very becoming, but again, is not perfect.
