I'm no fan of LCD TVs with a white finish. For one, they tend to look too gaudy in an otherwise subtle room. And chances are a few months down the line, the 'snow white' could turn 'dingy white' if you happened to be too busy to wipe it with a cleaner. The
Toshiba Regza 19DV667DB 19” LCD TV is eye-pinchingly white (at least for me), and if you happened to place it in your kitchen or bedroom, you might have to spend a few hours of “TV grooming” every week. Moving on to more 'serious' matters, the Toshiba 19DV667DB stands out from the crowd of
19 inchers
in the market due to the fact that it houses a built-in DVD player.
Other than that, this
Toshiba TV does not excel significantly in any aspect. This
hd lcd television manages to get along without any major glitches, but does not do anything that makes you sit up and take notice. True it's pictures are sharp, true it's compact and attractive (to a certain extent), true it has a strong hold of scenes with a lot of motion, but something is amiss. But if I tended to drop off this greedy attitude and look at the it with layman eyes, the
Toshiba LCD TV does pass off as an above average performer.
The
Toshiba Regza 19DV667DB HD-Ready LCD TV has a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and pretty much has the same feature set as that of the 19DV616DB
and therefore, has the same problem areas of the 19DV616DB, which is, audio. The speakers suffer from a poor sense of bass and in areas where force is necessary, the speakers fail to perform. If you placed all the pros and cons of the Toshiba Regza 19DV667DB on a scale, the built-in DVD player and the low cost will pretty much out weigh all else.
