If you've always been bored to death with the horde of glossy black
LCD TVs in the market, then the
Toshiba Regza 19AV616DB 19" LCD TV will definitely be a breath of fresh air for you. The white bezel looks pleasingly white and pristine, with the glossiness intact. Wall mount it in your kitchen or place it in your bedroom, the 19AV616DB is simply handsome to look at. Moving on to the performance, this small screen telly scores well in picture quality though it lags a bit in the audio quality. But, what the heck, it's no large screen TV and we're not going to be using it to watch Blu-ray always, are we? So, the slight pinch in the audio will not annoy you much.
Active Vision picture processing technology is the reason behind the excellent picture quality of the
Toshiba Regza 19AV616DB HD Ready LCD TV. Indeed, Toshiba has tried to give the telly the best possible push from technology and it shows. Being HD Ready, the panel passes with above average marks in rendering HD sources with their original detailing and sharpness intact. Colours are good too, that's when the Active Vision LCD makes an impression.
This
19" LCD TV has a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and a high dynamic contrast ratio of 20000:1. The Auto Description feature that aids the visually impaired with a running commentary is available on certain Digital/ Freeview programmes. It indeed is a pleasant surprise that Toshiba has retained this feature even in a 19" TV! Connectivity though, is not all that commendable. There is just 1 scart socket (though it advertises to have 2) and just one HDMI, which can be a bit of a handicap. Though a decent small screen TV, the 19AV616DB does suffer from a few impairments that plagues most small screen LCD TVs.
