cheapest LCD will be perfect for the room of a gadget freak, what with all the built-in features it has to offer! Initially when you look at the
Toshiba 26DV615DB 26” LCD TV, you get the feeling that it's rather bulky, compared to the others of Toshiba. But then you realize that it has an integrated DVD player to its left and begin to admire Toshiba's deftness for having managed to deliver quite a lot without compromising much on the looks.
Coming to the picture quality, the
Toshiba 26DV615DB Full HD LCD TV fares very well. Actually, it was a pleasant surprise to see an under 28” telly from Toshiba display such effective video and audio. Pictures were sharp and seamless, rarely did we come across disturbing judders. Not that there were none, for example, fast paced scenes did not carry the desired effect till the very end. But then, you have to give it to Toshiba, the 26DV615DB does not warrant any serious criticisms. It sails through smoothly in all the key areas.
This
Toshiba LCD TV has a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and apart from the afore mentioned 2
HDMIs, comes with a PC input, an S-video port and a Component Video Input. Audio is extremely good for a TV this size; really, another pleasant surprise. Looks like the 26DV615DB is so bent on surprising us from time to time. So, does this telly have more surprisals for us? Yes indeed and it's the cost this time. It's a shade more expensive than the 26 inchers from
LG and Samsung. And yes, it's a shade better than those tellies in performance as well, so it's all worth it.
