Sony seems to have taken the 'picture frame design' too seriously with the
Sony Bravia KDL-32E5500 32” LCD TV. Well, that's for the good in most sense. The pleasant white bezel contrasted with a black outer edge looks artistically 'picture-framish'. You also have the option of switching the black trim with a wooden or aluminum one to match your interiors. Apart from black, the wooden edge has a lot of class – well, that's a matter of opinion. There are several pre-installed photos and paintings that you can use. Pictures are rendered with utmost clarity and detail, why wouldn't they, with the presence of Bravia Engine 3 engine. This video processing system aptly enhances colours, contrast and other aspects that are responsible for flawless picture quality.
The
Sony Bravia KDL-32E5500 HD Ready LCD TV deserves a full 9 on 10 for the clarity of HD pictures, typical of Sony. It's no surprise that it has a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a claimed dynamic contrast ratio of 80000:1. Blu-ray movies are a sheer pleasure to watch. You can also use the 24p True Cinema mode to watch movies, using which movies are supposedly rendered as and how the director intended. Black levels are very impressive for a 32 inch TV, and seem alive and detailed. Motion looks fluid and spotless, all thanks to the Motionflow 100Hz technology.
With all the brilliance in the video, the 32E5500 does lack a teeny bit in the audio side. That's not to say it's terrible, though. Dialogues are rounded and clear, but bass could do with a bit more. But in the end, you realise that it is a 32” TV and shrug it off. Before we forget, as far as connectivity is concerned, the 32E5500 has a decent 4 HDMI inputs and USB

Sony LCD TV does not lack in anything crucial, but then, the high price is just not justified.
