The Sony BRAVIA KDL-46XBR2 LCD TV is the latest of 46” LCD that has many advanced features over the other LCDs in the X series. Features: It has a shiny silver bezel but bezels are also available in black, red, white, brown and blue in selected retail shops. The KDL-46XBR2 LCD TV is compatible with 1080p High Definition TV signals and has the XBR video quality of the X series. The integrated digital tuner provided in this TV can access both HDTV signals and analogue input. It has Wide Color Gamut CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) backlight which can provide greater colour quality than ordinary CCFL backlight (30 % more). Its BRAVIA Engine EX technology is the updated version of BRAVIA Engine technology and can recreate dazzling pictures with excellent resolution and depth. It has an improved contrast ratio of 1300:1 resulting in good levels of black on the screen. Sony’s unique technique ‘Live Colour Creation’ can reproduce more colour range resulting in excellent reproduction of colours with an astonishing accuracy. It has an improved contrast ratio of 1300:1 while the response rate is 8 m/s, excellent specifications for a high end LCD TV. To improve the viewing angles (which is specified as 178 degrees), this TV uses Super Patterned Vertical Alignment technology (SPVA). Wider viewing angles mean you can watch the TV from any angle. The new KDL-46XBR2 LCD TV has many input options. You can access uncompressed digital video with three HDMI interfaces provided in this TV. In addition, there are two more video inputs and there is also a provision for connection to VGA PC. This TV has a powerful stereo speaker system (22 W) with Trusound features. The PAP (Picture and Picture) tuners provided in this TV can allow you to see two images on the screen. The audio for the left picture goes to the TV speaker system while the audio for the right picture goes to headphones.
