BRAVIA ENGINE 3 and Advanced Contrast Enhancer do their bits, but it's Sony's age old problem of dull black levels that taunts the KDL-40NX503. When viewed from an angle, there is visual reduction is black levels. However, Freeview HD is a pleasure to behold in the 40” screen.

Priced at £949.99 at Sony Centre, the
Sony Bravia KDL-40NX503 LCD TV is quite pricey considering that it's CCFL backlit. But given the sleek design and effective connectivity, it deserves to be considered.
