Sony Bravia KDL-37V5810 LCD TV

sony-bravia-kdl-37v5810I'm not a big fan of Sony's LCD TVs. Way too expensive than those of the same caliber, Sony struggles to justify the high cost, unlike Philips. On this note we embark to explore the Sony Bravia KDL-37V5810 37” LCD TV and need it be mentioned that the TV is far from cheap? Alright then, lets see what it offers for the price. Looks, as far my sense of aesthetics reckon are pleasing. The glossy black finish with the silvery band at the bottom edge of the frame, though borders on the term clichéd, pretty much does the job. The Sony Bravia KDL-37V5810 HD-Ready LCD TV has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a rather underwhelming dynamic contrast ratio of 50000:1. USB Media Player, Photo Viewer and Music Player are all in place, promising to gratify your multimedia appetite. Pictures are seemingly sharp, what with the Bravia Engine enhancing the contrast and duller shades. Movies are an experience to revel, all thanks to the 24p True Cinema feature. Connectivity is an adequate aspect, with 4 HDMIs, USB 2.0 Input, PC Input and a Component Input , to name a few. On the downside of the KDL-37V5810 is audio. Tinny background scores, lacklustre bass and blunt voices are what the audio is all about. Shallow black levels and inconsistent backlight further add on to its worries. Freesat quality is a face saver, though, and so is Blu-ray quality. The LCD TV also has quite a few eco-friendly features to its credit as well. But to be blunt, the Sony Bravia KDL-37V5810 LCD TV does not sport anything extraordinary that warrants the extra cost.
