On first look, you somehow get the feel that this is one TV that is uncomplicated and easy to move with. On close inspection, it does prove to be true. The TV features the S5500 Series' 'draw the LINE design' which according to Sony 'contrasts texture and form' resulting in a 'simply elegant BRAVIA TV'. Which is the best way to put the design of this LCD TV: simple and elegant. The KDL-22S5500 has 2 HDMIs, a USB 2.0 Input and a PC Input, all of which give it a decent connectivity attire. The Sony Bravia KDL-22S5500 is an HD-Ready LCD TV, so if you intend to watch Blu-Ray movies or plug in your game console, it promises decent HD entertainment. For pictures, Sony has given this telly it's BRAVIA ENGINE 2, and the picture enhancement technology does have a lot of good effects on the clarity of pictures and colours. The TV also houses an integrated television tuner, so you can enjoy digital terrestrial TV channels and radio broadcasts as well. A USB Photo Viewer and Music Player are also included which make this LCD TV more fun to play with. Coming to the figures, the KDL-22S5500 has a 1366 x 768 display resolution and a high dynamic contrast ratio of 8000:1. But then, black level don't look all that deep. The scene select button is a handy feature that lets you optimize the picture and sound according to the screen content by a mere flick of a button. The  KDL-22S5500 also aims to be Eco friendly with a bunch of Eco Settings thrown in to reduce the power consumption. All is well but the cost – this 22 incher costs way too high ( almost £380) when compared to those from LG and Samsung. But is the extra worth it? The answer is no.
