Portability, dependability and ease-of-use – This is what the Sony Bravia KDL-19S5700 19” LCD TV all about. If you’re looking for a portable second room TV that has all the qualities of a high-end large-screen TV, then this one here will be just perfect, provided, you’re ready to spend a tad more. This TV is one good-looker, light-weight with a carry-handle, it fits the description of a portable TV perfectly. And when you combine this with Sony’s top-notch features, you have a definite winner. For a portable TV, the KDL-19S5700 is pretty well equipped.
To start with, the TV has 2 HDMI ports, a USB 2.0 port, USB photo viewer and music player all of which make it very effective when it comes to connectivity. And as a gaming display, the Sony Bravia KDL-19S5700 HD-Ready LCD TV is brilliant. With a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a dynamic contrast ratio of 8000:1, pictures in the 19” screens are way too good for a TV of such a size. Motion handling is of course not on par with some of Sony’s higher-end models, but considering the size, is acceptable.
The KDL-19S5700 comes with the 24p True Cinema feature, so movies will be rendered in the way they were shot, that is at 24 frames per second. Audio is nothing to be praised, with a total audio output of 10W and the Steady Sound feature included in the box, along with the brilliant video quality, one does tend to expect the same with audio. But sadly, that doesn’t happen. Voices though mellifluent, lack perfection and so does bass. This 19” Bravia is by and large a good performer, but you can also consider the LG 19LU4010, if you’re looking for something cheaper.
