Sony has pushed its Bravia series to the segment of environment-orientation with the launch of its new LCD model, Sony Bravia Z5500 LCD TV, accompanied by an 'eco-friendly' tag. The new model is also a full HD LCD television, similar to all other Bravia models. This procedure raises the frame rate to 200Hz a second from an ordinary 50Hz per second. Another feature touted by the model is the Image Blur Reduction technology, which accounts for sharper images by cleaning the original frames prior to the insertion of a new frame.
The Z5500 is another full high definition LCD television that is run by the Bravia Engine 3 to enable remarkable colour and contrast. The LCD TV model can also access network content through its integrated ethernet port, which apart from this also facilitates the reading of Applicast RSS feeds on the television screen and widget downloads. The Z5500 also features a picture frame, a world clock, alarm clock and a calculator.
The eco-aware features of Z5500 that come besides the power conserving capability, includes a built-in light sensor that adjusts backlight brightness to suit the ambient light in the room and an automatic shut off function.
