The
Sharp Aquos LC32DH500E 32 LCD TV is definitely not sharp when it comes to good looks. Looking rather dull and boring in a glossy black finish, this rinky-dink
LCD TV is pretty bulky too. Remember the Philips 32PFL9604? How well this 32 TV was designed and how svelte it was! The LC32DH500E's lackadaisical design makes one wonder if Sharp is too busy with stuffing its TVs with 3D. Connectivity is also a let down there are just 2 HDMIs when 32 inchers from the likes of Sony, Samsung and LG sport atleast three.
The
Sharp Aquos LC32DH500E HD Ready LCD TV does not have a
full HD resolution, but just a 1366x768 pixel resolution. The dynamic contrast ratio quoted is 25,000:1, and the TV comes with an integrated Freeview digital tuner. Picture quality is average, Blu-Ray movies are not worth watching in the screens of this TV. Honestly, motion handling is poor and black levels are dull too. There isn't much of depth and body in most of the dark areas of the picture and the edges (not all of them, though) appear blurred and full of annoying wavy movements.
But the LC32DH500E renders colours pretty nicely the subtler tones, especially are extremely pleasing to the eye. Freeview quality is decent as well. Also to its credit is
USB Playback of music, video and photos. Audio from the two 10W speakers is as expected mediocre, though Dolby Digital Plus is included. Overpriced at a £449, the Sharp Aquos LC32DH500E doesn't deserve the extra cost.
