Unlike the other models in the Aquos lineup, this model is truly HD ready. It supports both 720p and 1080i HD broadcast standards through a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This coupled with the Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT panel technology provides a high contrast, bright and glare free viewing experience with a wide viewing angle of 176 degrees.  This panel is surprisingly easy to mount on wall without any professional help.

Key features and specifications:

The Display is crisp and crystal clear with good contrast and brightness. The fast response time of 6 ms makes action sequences smooth without any blurs and smears. This model offers utmost flexibility for the user to control the display to suit his or her taste. It comes with adjustable color temperature, which can be adjusted in tandem with the brightness and contrast control to make the images look more real and vivid. The contrast ratio of 1200:1 produces exceptional black levels and the dynamic contrast enhancement (DCE) produces good contrast at any viewing angle. The native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels coupled with a fast response time of 6 ms makes it a hit with the gamers. Even the games with very high frame rates are rendered with perfection without any glitch in the display. The OPC technology adjusts the brightness level of the backlight to suit the ambient light conditions.

Connectivity

  • HDMI - 1
  • SCARTS - 2
  • S-Video-1
  • Composite-1
  • Component -1
  • PC input (VGA) compatible with component

The options of connectivity in the model is standard with one HDMI/DVI for high-definition sources, SCARTS for DVD,VCR or set top boxes, composite and component inputs and a PC input. A USB input and a memory card input would have been desirable, but it would be a tall ask for the price tag.

Audio

  • Nicam Stereo Sound with 10w x 10w Output
  • Surround sound
  • Audio leveler

This set really scores in the sound department; it has two powerful speakers which punch out 20 watts of Nicam Stereo sound. The surround sound feature works like a charm with movies. This is one of the TVs which can hold its own without external hardware.

Bottomline:

The LC LC-26SA1E merges superior display capability with excellent sound quality in one stylish and elegant looking package. Priced between ₤390 to ₤500, this TV is a real buy for customers looking for a quality 26 inch HD ready LCD television.
