Samsung is the South Korean Chaebol in Consumer Electronics Industry, and a towering brand in the display domain. Samsung has announced the massive line-ups for 2009 earlier this year in the Consumer electronics Show, and with the wide acceptance of the displays in United States, the organisation is planning for the launch of the high-end LCD televisions in UK too. Reputed as Luxia Displays in United States, Samsung 6000 series, Samsung 7000 series and Samsung 8000 series displays are now ready to hit UK, though the brand name ‘Luxia’ will be pulled out!
The to-be launched television models will also sport the same features and functionalities as that of Luxia displays, and come with superior design and technological innovations to retain the Numero-Uno status of Samsung in European market. The three new models 6000, 7000 and 8000 has LED as their primary light source, unlike the conventional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp back-light settings. Among the three models, the flagship version is 8000 series, and it flaunts 240Hz refresh rate to offer immaculate images with absolutely no image blur or sluggish motion pics.
The other display series comes with 120Hz quick refresh rate that offers better images with almost no image lag or resolution loss. These Samsung LED backlight LCD displays have high dynamic contrast ratio, which is one of the vaunted features of the telly. These televisions feature Media@2.0, which is the collective name for internet@tv functionality, content library, DLNA connectivity, Wiselink Pro, etc that helps the users access sites like Yahoo!, Flickr, YouTube, etc to make data streaming possible, all with a single touch in remote.
These are marvellous as wall mountable televisions, as the television is just over an inch thick. The specially designed wall mount provided by Samsung provides superior quality, and these televisions are just 0.6inches from the wall, while other LCD screens stands 2 inches from the wall. Series 6 and Series 7displays are availed from 19” to 55”, while the series 8 comes in 50” and 58” diagonal screen sizes. All the three models have Full HD 1080p display resolution, and also features 4 HDMI inputs and 2 USB ports. Expected to be launched in UK in couple of weeks, these displays will be few among the mighty competitors for the King Display Crown!!
