While we wait with impatience to get our hands on Samsung's scrumptious super-thin
LED TVs and the 3D home entertainment system announced at the CES 2010, why don't we take a look at one of their mortals, the
Samsung LE55B652 55” LCD TV? For large-screen LCD TVs, Samsung is probably the best suited brand, for they have it all – looks, features and most importantly, low cost. While the cost of a 55 incher from the likes of Sony and Philips could make you swoon, Samsung makes sure that you stand firm.
“Platinum black crystal TV” is how Samsung puts it and well. The neck is a semi-transparent crystal and a glassy shroud outlines the entire frame, taking the design to a whole new level – now this is one TV that'll make your living room like so darn good-looking. The
Samsung LE55B652 HD-Ready LCD TV sports a bounteous connectivity department – there are 4
HDMIs, USB 2.0, a D-sub port, an RF input and 2 Scarts among others. Blu-Ray pictures are a visual treat in the screens of the LE55B652 – we tried out a miscellaneous collection of Blu-Ray discs and never did the TV disappoint us.
There's one exception though. The ominous corners in the Chamber of Secrets of the Harry Potter series looked rather unclear, we were beginning to feel that the TV didn't take black levels too seriously. The TV generally lacks sufficient black levels, but motion detail and clarity are well appreciable. 100Hz Motion Plus makes sure that even the tiniest of motion blurs are eliminated. Internet widgets are all in place and the TV is DLNA certified
as well. The Samsung LE55B652 with it's swell looks and decent price will definitely have a lot of takers.
