First and foremost, when you look at the
Samsung LE40B651 40” LCD TV, you tend to think it has the Samsung signature written all over it. Well, that’s not bad isn’t it? Given that it is a
Samsung LCD TV afterall? It has Samsung’s stylish crystal design with a reddish tinge, only a bit subtler. This design is something of which we have grown fond of in the recent time, and Samsung doesn’t disappoint us this time around too. To begin with what this LCD TV lacks for a change, there a very few worthy of mention, actually. Audio is one thing and motion handling is another. Audio is a passable affair, and it doesn’t quite match the video performance. Coming to the motion handling, you must be told that this TV features 100Hz Motion Plus video processing that works by inserting interpolation frames between the regular TV frames. This feature is supposed to render judderless motion, which indeed it does. But when turned off, blurs become noticeable.
Standard definition does tend to look less impressive than that of HD in the 40” screen of this TV. Other than these, there aren’t that many prominent negatives about the
Samsung LE40B651 Full HD LCD TV. Rest of the journey is pleasant, I assure you. (Phew!) The LE40B651’s HD performance is impeccable. So detailed, so clear are they. So what if standard definition is not upto the mark, you tend to wonder, when this Samsung manages to render HD so well. The presence of 4
HDMIs and 2
USB ports (wow!) is enough to give this TV here a full 10 on 10 for connectivity!
The LE40B651 has internet @ TV facility - a fine option that gives you access to YouTube, Flickr and Yahoo Widgets. The Content Library which is an assortment of songs, recipes and what not is worthy of exploration. You can add content of your choice too. With it’s Full HD resolution and ultra contrast ratio, this TV renders smooth images with a pleasing natural colour tone. Black levels are appreciable too.
