An under £500 32” LCD TV that does not compromise one bit on any aspect whatsoever is here. Yes, this time it's from Samsung and the telly in question is the
Samsung LE32B550 32” LCD TV. This TV doesn't lack in anything, to start with. It is a Full
HD TV with a decent set of connectivity options that includes our favourite of 4 HDMIs along with a
USB port that supports JPEG and MP3 formats and a PC port. The LE32B550 looks attractive enough to deserve a good spot in your living room, the sharp angles and glossiness of the bezel doing the trick. HD movies – my, they should be seen to be believed. The quality is on par with that of expensive
LCD TVs of today! This
Samsung HD Ready LCD TV also has the perfect black levels, the darker backgrounds are as real as they can get. So you can imagine how good HD will be. Colours are faithfully rendered, their original freshness intact. The ease of use of the onscreen menus of the LE32B550 must be mentioned; you can play around with them, give a tweak here and a tweak there and bring forth the best of the images as per your taste. 100Hz processing is absent, but I'm not complaining, though. Its absence is not all that prominent in the TV's performance. Again, audio is a let down. Many LCD TVs from the top brands of today seem to have an issue with rendering audio that matches the stunning quality of the picture. Tut-tut. But some on, for a price this low and such brilliant video quality, we might as well shrug it off.
