LG credits the utmost significance, in the context to its Intelligence Sensor that is a device to sense as well as analyse the ambient light, along with the colour temperature in the room to adjust the television's LED backlighting precisely. This enhancement, which can be accessed by the remote control comprehensively, helps in delivering optimised picture quality by automatically adjusting the brightness. It is also significant that the process also helps in saving energy up to 70 percent apart from minimising eye-strain.
LG claims further energy consumption as the local dimming feature associated with its LED backlight control divides the screen of the LCD television into 240 sections, each controlling backlighting automatically. These separate backlighting sections of the screen adjusts individually to effectuate more natural as well as clearer images, even while deep shades and bright light shows up together on the screen.
LG also puts forth another remarkable feature called Standby Mode Zero that engages a mechanical on/off switch that can put the LCD TV into a power saving mode at anytime.
