Well, well, well, another small-screen LCD TV from LG. Still in the spell that the 19LU4000 cast, my heart leapt at the sight of the LG 19LU4010 19” LCD TV. The TV looks similar to the 19LU4000 with the angled out stand that does not fail to impress. Available in black and white, this LCD TV definitely needs a full twenty minutes just to admire the design. When you’re done, all you want to do is simply buy it at any cost. Well, in case you really did, you will never have to regret it. The 19 incher is so loaded with features, which is not a surprise, given that it is from LG, one of the best brands for budget TVs.
The LG 19LU4010 HD-Ready LCD TV has a 1366 X 768 pixel resolution and a 8000:1 contrast ratio. There are 2 HDMIs, in case you wished to plug in your Blu-ray player or game console. For gaming, the 19LU4010 would be just perfect, for it handles motion respectably. Freeview quality is very good, even if the source is of a poor quality, in the screens of the 19LU4010, pictures appear clear and uncluttered. This LCD TV, similar to the 19LU4000 is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust, leaving you satisfied that you’re doing your bit for the environment.
The 19LU4010 features the Clear Voice 2 Technology, which apparently renders clear voices even over a noisy background. Audio from the invisible speaker system does not impress that much, we tried a high pitched track and found the rendition to be flat and dull. But voices are well-defined and so are the colours. Deep blacks and bright whites are not all that lustrous, the lighter shades seemed too bright for the eye at times. But a few tweaks using the remote, things appeared to be settled. Affordable and dependable, the LG 19LU4010 is definitely advisable.
