LED TVs are apparently ruling the roost of the present TV world. With their mammoth contrast ratios and promise of deep blacks and vibrant colours, these TVs are quite an adventure to undertake. Whether you choose to do so with one of Sharp's is a matter of opinion, but then, let me point out what to expect in one, if you're eying an LED TV from the Japanese electronics giant. The
Sharp Aquos LC46LE700E 46” LED TV is the telly brought into the study hall today. This TV looks quite nice with the sharp edges and deep blue tinge running over the lower half of the frame.
The LC46LE700E uses
Full Screen LED backlight technology, so the problems that we countered with edge-lit LED technology is greatly reduced. The major advantage of this technology is that, the dark and bright portions of the scene have the deserving levels as the LEDs behind them can be turned on and off accordingly. We cannot but extol Sharp for this mastery. The panel of this TV is X-GEN. According to Sharp, this panel has a 'wider pixel aperture design' that results in brighter images. True, like said before, the brightness levels are sufficient enough to please your optical senses.
The TV is HD ready, so you wont face problems with viewing HD sources. The resolution offered is 1920 x 1080 pixels and the contrast is quoted to be quite huge.100Hz technology works well in reducing motion blur, so in the screens of the LC46LE700E Jackie can kick away that bald baddie seamlessly. There are 4 HDMIs and a USB input capable of JPEG and MP3 Playback, leaving all the boxes ticked in the connectivity fare. 'Eco friendly' goodies are also stuffed inside this juicy LED TV. Just when you think all is perfect, the audio quality gets to you. Oh well, no one's perfect.
