JVC LT-40FN97 LCD TV is a full HDTV which delivers pictures that rivals reality. With a medium sized screen, (40") it has integrated many features like 5th Generation Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T. 1080p) with GENESSA Picture Processing, 5-Point Color Management and Motion Adaptive Dynamic Gamma Correction Circuitry to boost its performance. The full HD Spec 1080p resolution of this LCD TV ensures greater sharpness and more details to the pictures. With the decent contrast ratio of 1000:1, the black levels are quite nice and combined with excellent colour saturation, the pictures look realistic. The Component Cross Color Eliminator of this TV make provide the pictures with crispness, and vividness. The 5th Generation Digital Image Scaling Technology allows you to watch any standard television material with lot of enhancements both in picture quality and sound effects. You find four aspect ratios available with this TV for your use. This allows to choose the best aspect ratio to watch any HDTV material although you can view non-HDTV sources using other aspect ratios. Likewise, you can access Digital TV and analogue TV channels as this unit provides you with in-built ATSC, QAM and NTSC. There is also a 2:3 pull down feature which enables the fast moving images look realistic and removes any motion lag. The speakers are designed in such a way that the sound effects are quite pleasing. The powerful speakers render very good quality output which is indispensable when you play some DVD movies in this LCD TV.

I am very pleased with this TV and the picture in HD is stunningly good. Very easy to navigate the menus and the instruction books are with better readability. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. Outstanding performance!
I just came across many reviews and ads in magazines and finally bought this TV. So far no complaints against it. Both the black colour and the slim design inspired me a lot to own this TV. Good to use and with easy navigation. Features are extra-ordinary and I am very much pleased with it.
