Sharp AQUOS LC 52D62USharp AQUOS LC-52D62U LCD TV is the largest model in AQUOS series with a 52” wide screen. Sharp AQUOS LC-46D62U which has been reviewed earlier, shares similar features with this LCD TV like a sleek piano black cabinet, two recessed bottom-mounted speakers and other important specs. Both the LCD TVs support High Definition Television sources and can support a native 2000:1 contrast ratio and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1. The Multi-Pixel Technology combined with Advanced Black TFT Panel enhances viewing angles by processing each pixel with its two-way colouring and by producing 60 % more true-to-life colours. Its backlight system provides high brightness of 450 cd/m2. The AQUOS series LCD TVs are usually provided with an automatic feature that adjusts the brightness level depending on the ambient conditions.

The Enhanced Picture Contrast Technology produces make this possible and pictures look crisp, vivid and unbelievably realistic. With the two HDMI inputs and two HD composite video inputs available with this unit, you can view any range of HDTV material either from DVD or HDTV channels. This TV offers six picture presetting options to the viewers like standard, dynamic, dynamic (fixed), game, Movie, and PC. Similarly you can change the colour temperature settings and choose the best among the five presets provided in this unit. Like the AQUOS 46” version, there are four aspect ratios available with this TV, the dot-by-dot mode is ideal if you wan to view any HDTV material although you can view non-HDTV sources using other aspect ratios. Likewise, you can access Digital TV and analogue TV channels as this unit provides you with in-built ATSC, QAM and NTSC. While the four wave backlight system and its efficient backlight control are impressive, this TV also has an automatic feature that can adjust the light source depending on the room light conditions. There is also a 2:3 pull down feature which enables the fast moving images look realistic and removes any motion lag. The audio features are quite pleasing and the powerful speakers render very good quality output especially when you play some DVD movies in this LCD TV.
