This LCD TV looks a bit shiny – right from its screen to its black frame which surrounds the screen. It’s true that the shiny screen tends to cause glare but the black glossy frame gives an elegant look. Certainly, the design of this LCD TV is one of its special features. The speakers are hidden in the side panel where you can also find a S-video input and A/V input. This unit has come with a swivel base which you can tilt to suit your viewing position. On the rear side, you can also find many sockets like HDMI, Component input, USB etc.

Samsung is a full 1080p LCD TV which means its screen has the highest native resolution (1920×1080 pixels). The pictures look exceptionally sharp when you use full HD video material, say, a Blue ray disc or HDTV broadcast. However, it can accept pictures of any resolution – 720p or 1080i or SDTV- from DVD or TV channels and enhance the picture quality by using its scaling technique to produce the clearest, brightest and sharpest picture. The picture quality is exceptionally outstanding with its nice black levels thanks to its 15000:1 dynamic ratio. The dark scenes had marvelous shadow details capturing subtle nuances. It is quite noticeable when you place this TV in right light condtions as its glossy screen tends to reflect more light in ambient conditions, so you need to place it in a little dark room to enjoy its excellent black levels. The colour reproduction is also excellent thanks to its 10-bit video processor. The pictures looked breathtakingly beautiful with true-to-life colours. This 46” LCD TV has a decent response time of 8 ms, and we did not find any fault with the fast movements on the screen as they do not exhibit ghosting or artifacts. In fact, they looked smooth and realistic. When we tried to find out what picture settings and other settings are available with this TV, we were indeed impressed by the numerous customizing options. There are three picture modes with basic picture settings like brightness, contrast, colour etc. What’s more you can also adjust backlight source, a feature you cannot find in other LCD TVs. Similarly, there are five colour temperature pre-settings which enable you to choose precise one based on ambient light conditions. While the standard aspect ratio of this LCD is 16:9, we also have four options to convert the picture to different aspect ratios. Likewise, the noise reduction settings available in this TV were also simple and quite commendable. There are plenty of input options available in this LCD TV. There are three HDMI inputs which enable you to access HDTV broadcast or HDTV materials from DVD. In addition, there are two component video inputs, two S-video inputs, two A/ V inputs and a PC input. There is also a USB port for connecting USB devices, while your PC can be hooked to the RGB computer input available in this TV. Finally, the audio features produced by The SRS TruSurround sound system too are quite impressive. The power of two side speakers is quite awful with nice levels of treble and bass effects. To conclude, Samsung LN-T4665F LCD TV is certainly one of the best among the latest LCD TVs that have been recently rolled out. Well, in terms of rich black levels and overall picture quality, we can safely say, it is really unbeatable. Compare this LCD TV with Samsung LN-S5296D 52" LCD TV.
