The Samsung LN-T405H LCD offers an unforgettable viewing experience with its crisp, superb quality images with true black levels and extra-ordinary range of true-to-life colours. This 40” LCD TV is ideal for both viewing home videos and computer input. Although it does not support full HDTV resolution, its high resolution, excellent black levels and colour saturation are impressive enough to evoke a feeling of admiration in us.

However, its built-in image scaler can accept and enhance almost all video images from SDTV, DVD or HDTV sources. With three HDMI ports, two component video inputs, S-video and composite video inputs, you can view anything from analog picture to digital videos to HDTV materials with the help of built-in ATSC and QAM tuners. Over-all picture quality of a LCD display depends on a good backlight source and impressive specs. We see a synthesis of these two in this LCD TV. The CCFL backlight in this high-end LCD TVs provides clear, bright and vivid pictures. Its dynamic contrast ratio 8000:1 with the high brightness improves the contrast and brightness levels enabling this TV to achieve superb black levels. While we examined the performance of this LCD, we were quite satisfied with its good response time of 8 ms and wider viewing angles of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically. The pictures looked nice even from the off-angle and the colours looked very crisp and clear. Similarly fast actions in movie scenes looked ok and very realistic and some times even breathtakingly beautiful. The audio features are quite extraordinary and the SRS TruSurround enthralls us with good bass and treble effects. For better quality output, you also got an audio output which enables you to connect this TV with home theatre speakers.
