LG Flatron L1960TRThe black jewel or LG Flatron L1960TR LCD monitor from LG is a class apart from other LCD monitors. What makes this elegant LCD monitor a special one is its higher contrast ratio (3000:1) when compared with other LCD monitors available in the market. Another noteworthy feature of this LCD is its excellent response time of 2 m/s which is one of the lowest response times achievable by the high end LCD monitors.

Flatron L1960TR LCD monitor is meticulously designed which is noticeable even to a casual onlooker. Except the bezel and rear of the monitor, the front and side panels glow with black coating, the traditional colour of the LCD monitors. You can find the power-on switch on bottom right. The rear of the monitor has all provisions for D-sub port and analog ports as well keep the cables out of mess.

This monitor combines LG Flatron f-Engine technology with its inherent features. Its excellent contrast ratio produces unbelievable true black levels that can be only comparable with a typical plasma display. The DFC technology, an automatic feature modifies the contrast and brightness settings on two separate modes so that you can view both and choose whichever you find is better.

The native resolution of this LCD screen is 1,280×1,024 pixels and the screen size is in 5:4 aspect ratio. However, it is not so disappointing that it cannot display pictures of 16:9 ratio. Other specifications indeed ensure the picture quality and enhance our viewing experience. Probably the LG people designed this display keeping a computer monitor in their minds.

It’s quicker response time (2 m/s) is another likeable feature as we said early. Consequently, the trailing effects or blurs are barely visible when you watch fast movements. This makes this LCD monitor also ideal for watching action packed movies and playing games.
