More OLED TVs from LG

LG's 15" OLED TVKorean electronics giant LG has made yet another announcement on OLED TVs. Galloping at a fast pace in the OLED TV race, LG has announced that a 20 inch OLED TV will be available by 2010, a 30 inch model by 2011 and a 40 inch OLED TV by 2012. LG has already announced that a 15″ OLED TV will be available in early 2010 which will be of a  1,366 x 768 pixel resolution and a brightness level of  450cd/m2.

The prices of these OLED TVs is however expected  to be far from the reach of the common man. And Won Kim, the vice president of OLED TV sales and marketing division of LG subtantiates this. According to him, OLED TVs of sizes 40″ and above will be ‘fairly expensive in 2012′ though they will be available in the market. He added that LG was on its way to finding out measures to drive down the cost of the production of OLED TVs with the intention of making their costs on par with that of LCD TVs by 2016.
