lg-lcdtvreviews.org.ukThough not like hot cakes, LG’s LED TVs have been selling quite well. The Korean electronics giant has released it’s LED TV targets for 2010 and from the looks of it, LG is going steady. According to a release from LG Taiwan, they plan to sell 7.5 million LED TV sets by 2010 from 400,000 this year. Though the roots of LED TVs from LG have not gone too deep in the UK, these TVs are going strong in Taiwan having sold out the entire inventory. LG has indicated that they plan to replenish their inventory by the end of November.

LG Taiwan further added that they plan to ship 25 million LCD TVs in 2010 as opposed to their 17 million unit goal for 2009. LG’s plans to launch new LED TVs for 2010 were also divulged. It looks like 10 such LED TV models are waiting behind the curtains which are to be lifted in 2010. Two of these will supposedly by direct-type backlighting units while three will have edge-type LED backlighting.
