HP launches Windows 7 compatible LCD Monitor
HP has launched the HP Compaq L2105tm Multitouch LCD Monitor, which has been specifically designed for supporting Windows 7 operating system. The L2105tm is a 21.5″ multi-touch monitor with a CCFL backlight system. The contrast ratio quoted is about 1000:1, along with a 5 ms response time. The monitor looks rather average, in standard black with a smooth finish.
The multi-touch feature is the highlight of the HP Compaq L2105tm. Even the slightest movement of your finger across the screen in enough to trigger the sensor to respond. This is made possible using ‘optical touch technology’ that makes use of two cameras, an infrared light along with a sensor and reflective film. The LCD monitor will supposedly provide a brightness of up to 270cd/m2 along with 170/160 viewing angles. There also is a stylus provided, in case you wish to use one. About pricing and availability, we have no information as of yet.
