How can any of us forget the three gutsy angels taking on gunslingers like it was a walk in the park? And how can we ever forget Farrah Fawcett’s bouncy golden locks? Charlie’s Angels - one of the most successful television series that was the first of it’s kind to feature women in roles that were usually ascribed to men, is looking to take over our TV screens again! The renowned 1970s classic television series is to be remade soon and will be broadcast by US network ABC.
Farrah Fawcett, who played the athletic tomboyish angel, Jill Munroe passed away recently (June 25, 2009) after a losing battle with anal cancer. A documentary film titled ‘Farrah’s Story’ which is about Farrah’s fight against the disease was reportedly watched by over nine million people and even received an Emmy award nomination. Reports on remaking the television series have come soon after the death of Farrah and Drew Barrymore who starred in the Charlie’s Angels feature films has apparently been instrumental in calling for the remake.
The cast for the remade version of the Charlie’s Angels TV series has not been decided upon yet but it looks like producer Leonard Goldberg will be involved. Good luck Angels!
