Britons spend more time with video games than TV

serious-gamer-lcdtvreviews.org.ukIt looks like video games are taking over televisions in the UK. A recent study indicated that 73% of the UK population are gamers. Though the average time spent by a person in gaming is less when compared to that of TV, (5.1 hours per week) the fact that almost three-quarters of the UK population are involved in gaming is good enough to suggest that video games are replacing TV and internet in many UK households. Another interesting aspect of the research was that 34% of women played video games once a week.

Is virtual reality more seductive than actual reality? Who knows, years down the line, atleast one person in a household may be deep inside a virtual world of machines and guns, where life ends with the mere click of a button.
