The video signal is scaled to fit the panel, noise signals are detected and removed, and colour and contrast are dynamically adjusted with respect to the scenes. Contours are made crisper so that the images on the screen do not seem to smudge into each other. Smooth and clear motion pictures are also made available by the 100Hz processing technology.

The Smart Picture feature, analyses the incoming signal, one frame at a time, and alters brightness levels to enhance picture quality and compensate for any losses. JVC has incorporated an Eco Sensor into the TV as well, that works in combination with the Smart Picture feature, to make viewing the TV, very comfortable and pleasant to the eye. These image quality enhancement technologies are accompanied by good audio quality with the MaxxAudio sound system.

JVC LT-37DP8BJ Flat Screen LCD TV offers a screen brightness of 500 cd/m2 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 1500:1. This HD Ready TV with Freeview has a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. That makes it capable of displaying High Definition pictures from HD sources, like Sky. The aspect ratio of this model is 16:9. It comes with Nicam stereo sound type.
