Here we go again with yet another funky LCD TV for kids from Hannspree! This time its not a pussy cat or a rhino as you might expect, but Mother Nature herself! Yes, this TV from Hannspree is nature-themed! Looking like something from Tarzan’s tree house, the Hannspree Bugsy 12” LCD TV is of a pleasant green colour with a subtle golden frame. Don’t let the golden frame give you the wrong idea, it actually is a shade of gold really, earthen gold, is the word, if it can be put that way. The frame stands on a stem stand, the back of which is complete with leaf patterns.
The stand of the Hannspree LT0R12U1000 LCD TV is further patterned with insect designs, enhancing the nature theme in a cute way. Rounded at the edges, this LCD TV has an adorable lady-bug remote – the thing is very cute, with rounded black buttons on a glossy red surface. Moving away from the looks (with a lot of difficulty!), the LT0R12U1000 features a display resolution of 800×600 pixels and a contrast ratio of 400:1. This 12 incher quotes a brightness level of 450 cd/m2 and is a 4:3 TV.
When you switch on this TV, you first tend to pinch yourself – just to make sure you’re not dreaming. Because, the picture quality is pretty decent for the size and audio from the couple of 2W stereo speakers also matches this. Ofcourse, action scenes are a little lacking, but that is understandable. Connectivity includes a 4-in-1 input, a headphone jack along with the usual RF inputs. Colours are not all that natural in this nature-themed TV, a scene with colourful autumn leaves was pretty bland to look at. This cute little bugsy will definitely win the hearts of kids, though.
