World’s biggest OLED TV to be launched by LG soon

September 6, 2009

lg-lcdtvreviews.org.ukLG has confirmed the launch of 15 inch OLED TVs.

With Sony announcing a delay in large screen OLED TV production, it is only a matter of time for other TV manufacturing giants to take over the reigns from Sony. It looks like LG will be the first one to do so, with it’s 15 inch OLED TV. The news came from Won Kim, the Vice President of OLED Sales & Marketing for LG. He indicated that the 15” OLED TVs will be available in the UK in early 2010.

The launch of Sony’s 11 inch model, the Sony XEL-1  LED tv did raise a lot of eye brows with talks about the price(the XEL-1 costs a bomb), small screen size and the extraordinary picture quality buzzing around the industry. The price of the unnamed model is not known, however industry experts speculate that it might be on par with that of Sony’s 11 incher. It also appears that a 40 inch OLED model from LG is imminent.
