Television on the go:Qualcomm FLO TV Personal TV
According to sources, super-slim portable TVs that could be watched on the go, might be available from next year.
Reports hint at the possibility of a personal TV from Qualcomm, Qualcomm FLO TV Personal TV or PTV. This portable TV will function by receiving signals from the terrestrial digital television service of FLO TV. Though not officially announced, PTV will be Qualcomm’s first hardware product based on FLO TV. It is unclear whether this is likely to be launched in the UK, but sources also say that there are possibilities. Qualcomm reportedly bought spectrum in 2008 from the UK government, hinting at possible plans for a UK launch, but we await confirmation from Qualcomm on this regard.
It is said that the Qualcomm FLO TV Personal TV will have the best LCD screen, upto 15 and 5 hours of audio and video playback respectively, rechargeable batteries, 2.0 USB, 4 GB of internal flash memory, and a weight of just 150g.
