Sony to launch Internet Video Bravia LCD TVs in 2010
Sony will reportedly launch Internet Video Bravia LCD TVs in the first quarter of 2010. Using these LCD TVs, viewers can have access to online content including music and video from about 40 online providers with whom Sony has signed up. Among them are names like YouTube, Flickr and Channel Five. All what the users have to do is connect their Internet Video Bravia LCD TVs to their broadband connections and enjoy non-stop online content.
Along side 3D TV, it looks like top manufacturers are eyeing internet TV as the next big step to take entertainment to a whole new level. Some manufacturers like Samsung and Panasonic along with Sony do offer online services, though not full-fledgedly. Sony is in for tough competition not just from its peers but also from Sky Player and BBC’s iPlayer. We’ll only have to wait and watch as to how far Sony’s Internet Video Bravia LCD TVs will reach.
