Sony goes wireless with KDL-XBR10 LCD TV line ups

September 10, 2009

Sony KDL-XBR10 -lcdtvreviews.org.ukWith the ‘Thin is in’ mantra taking over the world of LCD Television today, Sony has come up with an LCD TV line up that transmits video wirelessly to the screen. The Sony KDL-XBR10 LCD TVs use separate media receivers for handling inputs. So these LCD TVs will obviously be super-slim. The TVs employ Edge-lit LED backlighting technology due to which they have a whopping quoted contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Pictures are expected to be super-sharp in the wireless displays. The presence of the 240Hz processing has also raised hopes for seamless high speed action.

The KDL-XBR10 LCD TVs come with a 1,920×1,080p display resolution and 4 HDMI inputs. They come in 46 and 52 inch screen sizes and are to be out in October in the U.S and are priced at $4,500 and $5,000 for the 46” and 52” versions respectively. Well, the price does make one wonder if it’s all worth it..
