Sharp Launches LE600 and LE700 LED TV Series

August 4, 2009

Sharp LE600 and LE700 LED TV SeriesSharp has launched yet another range of LED backlight TVs, the LE600 and LE700. Set at affordable prices, both the series use white LEDs for the purpose of backlighting instead of full RGB LEDs that were used in the XS1 series. The LE600 series has 32, 40 and 46-inch models while the LE700 series also comes in 32, 40 and 46-inch models along with 52 inch ones. The LE600 and LE700 feature display resolutions of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and are mercury free due to the use of LED lights for backlighting.

Both claim to have a Mega contrast and use Brilliant Colour Processor technology. Another noticable aspect of these two is that both have X-GEN panels, which according to Sharp offer brighter images. The LE700 series uses 100Hz processing which the LE600 doesn’t and also has 4 HDMI Inputs while the LE600 has 3. Promising decent pictures and sound, these LED TVs are eco friendly too and are available right from this month.
