Samsung To Launch LCD Televisions With Yahoo Widgets This Spring
London: Samsung to launch a range of LED backlit high performance LCD Televisions that could well be the first set of televisions in the UK to put forth TV widget service of Yahoo. Samsung spokesman Darren Peterson said that the intended LED usage in these devices, instead of cold cathode fluorescent lamps would not only considerably enhance colour reproduction and black levels, but also would aid in designing them thinner and lighter.
Introduction of Yahoo widgets is widely perceived as a hit prediction, mainly for their projected capabilities to access a galaxy of sources using an available broadband connection. These capabilities of the proposed devices, would enable the user to read Yahoo News, view YouTube, browse Flickr images, etc. A standard remote control unit is offered here that in its turn offers the user the control to the internet functionalities, comprehensively.
Alongside the Yahoo Widgets, Samsung also plans to introduce their own Widget versions. Also the viewers are entitled to browse the online library to add fresh widgets.
