Samsung LCD TVs to rule Iran?

September 23, 2009

samsung-lcdtvreviews.org.ukThis year seems to be a good one for Samsung. The Korean electronics giant was reported to have sold 500,000 units of its LED TVs from the time of its launch and was also touted to be selling three televisions per minute. And now, research suggests that half of the best LCD TVs in in Iran is a Samsung. The research was conducted by the GfK Group, a German market researcher.

Apparently, of ten LCD TVs in Iran, five are that of Samsung’s. The research indicated that Samsung held about 54% of Iran’s LCD TV market in the month of July. This is a 6% increase from that of the previous month. Like in other parts of the world, Samsung’s LED TVs also saw a great deal of reception in Iran, having a 92% share in the Iranian market after entering it in June.

Samsung must be doing everything right to achieve figures such as these. Market experts say that Samsung’s efforts are strategically planned with the consumer’s need in mind. Some say that Samsung has succeeded in breaking tariff barriers by localising production. Whatever be it, Kudos to Samsung!
