Panasonic unveil their first LED TV line-up – At last!
Panasonic has at last dipped its toes into the LED TV market. With its D2 line-up of TVs that come equipped with edge based LED backlighting wherein LEDs are arranged at the edges of the panel, the Japanese electronics giant is finally venturing into the world of LED TVs. The models include the 37” TC-L37D2 and the 42” TC-L42D2. The 42 incher also marks Panasonic’s entry into the large-screen stream.
Both the models of the Panasonic D2 series are 1080p Full HD, featuring Panasonic’s VIERA Image Viewer™, Universal Dock for iPod and four HDMIs. The LED TVs also come with a PC input, 24p Smooth film and an advanced 100Hz Motion Picture Pro 4 for judder-free action images. Panasonic’s yet to be launched LED TVs also hint at being super thin, given the backlight system. Panasonic has indicated that it plans to launch the D2 series in Japan this summer. There’s no word about a UK launch, though.
