Mitsubishi’s colossus 155 inch OLED TV unveiled

October 9, 2009

mitsubishi-155-inch-oled-lcdtvreviews.org.ukMitsubishi has unleashed a monster! Yes, it can talk and sing but thankfully cannot walk. Jokes apart, Mitsubishi has unveiled a gigantic 155” OLED TV at the CEATEC JAPAN 2009. This OLED TV is so huge that it could make all the glossy, high-end LCD, LED and Plasma TVs hide their faces in shame! Called the ‘Diamond Vision OLED screen‘, the display is made up of smaller OLED parts. Since it has a modular design, there is no limit to how big this monster can grow.

The TV consists of a total of about 720 10-centimeter square panels and has been designed to be used as monitors in public spaces and for digital signage. The Diamond Vision OLED screen is said to be three times brighter than regular LCD TVs and its lifespan is expected to be 20,000 hours. There’s also talk that a single screen can cover an entire city! No news as yet regarding the launch or cost, though.
