Edinburgh International Television Festival in it’s 34th year
The Edinburgh International Television Festival is to commence on August 28th this year. Held every year in August over the bank holiday weekend, the festival is an important event for people working in the television and media industry. To be held in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the festivel features prominent industry voices. Packed with several sessions including preview screenings, keynote lectures and interviews among others, the television festival has over 60 individual sessions.
The festival is expected to be attended by over 2000 delegates like directors, producers, distributors, the press and industry new comers from the UK and abroad. Delegates from companies like BBC, HBO, CNN and Fox News are known to have attended this in the recent years. Over 200 organisations including Google, MTV, Virgin Media, Discovery, Comedy Central, ITV and Channel 4 are reported to take part in the festival.
Aimed at being not just informative, but also fun-filled, the Edinburgh International Television Festival is being awaited with excitement by most in the industry.
