A soft cloth – it can even be an old cotton T-shirt or a handkerchief. You can also use a microfibre cloth. Tissues, paper towels and other rough cleaning cloths are a strict no no.
Cleaning solution – There are special solutions available specifically for such purposes. But you can also use a homemade cleaning solution made of equal volumes of rubbing alcohol and distilled water.
-
Firstly, switch off the TV before you go about cleaning the screen. This will help you identify the dirty areas clearly.

Gently brush off dust particles using a dry cloth.
-
To treat smudges and greasy areas, first spray some cleaning solution on to the cloth and rub the screen gently horizontally and vertically till its spic and span.
-
You can also use another dry cloth to polish the surface again.
Things to remember:
-
An LCD screen is completely different form glass. So don’t treat it like one!
-
Never apply excess pressure on the cleaning cloth.
-
Do not spray the cleaning solution directly over the screen.
-
Make sure that the screen is completely dry before you switch it on again.
