When looks matter : A chat with Tobias on the best looking LCD TVs to gift your kith and kin this Christmas
Hello there! It’s been quite a while since we met. Well, I’m the one to be blamed for that! I’ve been quite busy since July 10th. Well, there was my best-friend and colleague, Mark’s wedding in August and we spent almost the entire month in Scotland. His wife, Lizzie is from Scotland and the wedding took place in this ancient church with stained glass windows and high steeples. What a time we had! September was an equally busy month for our store was stocking up supplies for Christmas time. We’re pretty relaxed now, for all the hard work leading to the Christmas season is almost done. And I haven’t even decided on what to do this Christmas. Chances are, Rachel and I could spend it in our parent’s place. But nothing’s confirmed yet.
I’m in pretty high spirits right now, Christmas being one reason and the other is because we’ve reached more than our set target for the month of October. Seriously, I never thought shoppers will even spare a glance at our expensive LCD TVs this year. For the year wasn’t such a good one financially. But what spirits! It looks like many had saved up for almost a year to indulge in an expensive LED TV for Christmas. Our store also has quite a lot of special deals for LCD TVs, mind you. So, many left with their favourite LCD TV with a few pounds left in their pockets.
Oh, well, I hadn’t saved up that much this year. I might replace the small screen TV in our kitchen, though. My, are there so many gorgeous TVs in the market or what! Our store has so many of them lined up that I spend hours just drooling over them! My most favourite when it comes to looks is Philips. The 5000 series look so darn good, I tell you. There was a Philips 47PFL5604H that I was in love with for quite a long time. The TV is eye-catchingly slim in glossy black that doesn’t look in the least bit gaudy. There is a transparent outer-frame that curves forward from the outer edge giving it a whole new feel. Sigh! Too bad I couldn’t afford it.
LED TVs from Samsung also had my eyes glued to them. Samsung never disappoints in the looks department, and all of its LED TVs stand to substantiate that. Take the Samsung UE55B7000WW LED TV, for instance. “Designed as one seamless piece of flawless crystal” says Samsung and it cannot be said better. The TV has a teddish tinge running along the frame that does wonders for its looks. Rose black is colour, the combination looks terrific. The neck is of a transparent crystal, and it is needless to say that it only accentuates the already bedazzling looks.
Next in line is that of LG’s. It’s the 32″ 32LH4000. Though some might disagree with me on this, this affordable LCD TV from LG is the ont that’s present in my mother’s living room. It was I who presented it to her, I was in a bit of a crunch time back then so I went in for the best one that my money could fetch. I knew that the LG 32LH4000 was a good performer but did’nt expect much in the looks department but was slightly surprised when it was wall-mounted. LG has given this TV an Italian design which comes with a rich-looking indigo shade that is infused at the bottom edge. It went well with the shade of the walls of my mother’s living room and looked quite stunning to me.
Another one of LG, a 42 incher, the LG 42SL8000 is yet another good looker. We sold quite a lot if them last week and I had my eyes on it all the time. ‘Boderless design’ is what it’s all about and borderless it is. The bezel looks rather different, unlike the 32LH4000’s black glossiness. It is less than an inch broad and is slightly broader along the bottom edge. The slimness is what that strikes you when you first look at it, for its just 45mm deep. The top edge is angled, complete with a regal blue tinge that runs along the bottom edge. A pretty sight indeed.
This list can never end, you know. For there are so many good looking LCD TVs in the market today. But these are my most favourite, the reason being the time I spent goggling at them at the store. It you’re the type who falls for anything good looking, then you’re sure to fall for these LCD TVs. But be informed, these TVs are not mere good lookers. They are good performers too. So, in case you’re planning to buy an LCD TV this Christmas and want it to look so darn good, then these LCD TVs could fill your bill perfectly.
