TV trade-ins to make Christmas Special for sick children

merry christmas santa TV trade ins to make Christmas Special for sick childrenHere is yet another story that shows how instrumental television can be in making the world a better place to live in. With Christmas just a day away, most of our homes are probably stuffed with food and gifts up to bursting. Amidst all the last-minute shopping sprees and party round ups, how many of us stop to think of doing our bit to make this Christmas special for those who may not be as fortunate as us?

Christmas at EACHFamilies in Norwich have been given this golden opportunity. They can give local children with life-threatening conditions a much needed boost this holiday season by participating in a ‘TV Tradeathon’. Sony Centre, a Norwich TV store situated in the Chapelfield Mall has offered to present a new 37” HD TV that is worth £700  to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH) as a Christmas gift.

Sony Centre will do so if it receives 25 TV trade-ins before December 24. To contribute, all what customers have to do is trade their old televisions for a brand new Sony Bravia LCD TV, which will be given for a discount of up to £150 before Christmas Eve. Store manager Dave Titchin said that they were delighted to be involved with EACH and hoped that the local community will help them make this Christmas “very special for those who deserve it.”

Anglia’s Children’s Hospice is a registered charity offering care and support to children with life-threatening diseases and their families. They provide children’s hospice care services including care at end of life, bereavement support, short break care, specialist play, music therapy, practical help and advice. The services are provided throughout Norwich including Ipswich in Suffolk and Quidenham in Norfolk.
