TV cameras follow Michael Jackson for the last time

Rest in peace-lcdtvreviews.org.ukPop legend Michael Jackson was under the glare of the media for the last time before he was buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California. The press and fans waited patiently along the route from the Jackson home to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Some held hands, some sobbed silently, some simply stood in a world of their own, probably lost in a maze of thoughts of their superstar. Security was as high as ever, just as it will be for any event related to Michael Jackson. Even though the Jackson family arrived one hour late, the onlookers and cameramen were patient and eager, probably because they knew that it was the last time they awaited the arrival of the king of pop.

The motorcade of luxury cars finally flashed by, carrying the Jackson family. Guests including Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, Chris Tucker, Berry Gordy and Michael’s ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley were amongst the 200 who attended the ceremony which began after the last lights of the day died down(4.35 BST). The golden casket was then brought in, as friends and family looked on. Reportedly, Michael’s kids placed notes inside their dad’s coffin. His mother and father took the front row, both visibly disconsolate.

bewitching smile-lcdtvreviews.org.ukMinutes passed and it was time for the cameras to bid adieu to Michael for the last time, for from then on, the service was to be private. Cameras were switched off, and the press walked away for the last time from Michael Jackson.

The day of mourning and grieving ended with a post-funeral reception at a restaurant in Pasadena. It looks like the fans of the legend are still in a state of shock and grief. Laura, 27, LA said: “I just can’t believe he’s not here. That he won’t sing and dance for us. I love you Michael. You’re are and will be the King Of Pop for all time to come.” - A statement that was justified when his children placed a crown on his coffin, thus sealing the title ‘King Of Pop’ for the svelte man with wizardry in his voice.
