“I waited all day only to be rebuffed by a bully of a body guard!” Kat was fuming. She had just returned form a long day at Leicester Square. ‘I was so close, I tell you! So close. I could even catch a whiff of his perfume….’ Tiffany regarded her with an expression of amusement. She knew the 18-year old was a huge fan of the Harry Potter series and Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter in the movies. ‘Poor guy was all drenched.’ Speaking on, Kat walked into her rooms to change into something dry.
Tiffany had dropped in at Kat’s early that day only to be accosted by her at the front porch with ‘Food is in the fridge, remote is on the table. Be back soon, got to dash to Hogwarts!” How could she have forgotten? Would Kat of all people miss a Harry Potter premiere? So, with a fridge full of the most delicious pies(Kat was a great cook) and the most stylish TV she had ever seen Tiffany spent the entire day eating and channel-trotting. If not for the TV, she would have just left home. Kat’s living room housed the Philips 42PFL9803H LED TV – what a stunner! She was enthralled by the clarity of the images and later learned that it had an LED backlight system.
She first watched the morning news, as was her habit and found every news reporter screaming ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ from Leicester Square with mackintoshes and hidden expressions of annoyance due to the rain. She guessed that the TV’s contrast ratio would surely be massive.(2.000.000:1 is the dynamic contrast ratio of the 42PFL9803H actually.) She then watched Star Trek after lunch. Heavens, what an experience that was! Outer space cannot possibly look this beautiful, can it? The dark areas looked darker, and star-strewn space looked as if it were made of velvet! So seamless, was the picture and wonderfully crisp high-speed action in the 42″ screen was yet another specialty.
And the Ambilight! Streams of light poured from the sides of the TV transforming Kat’s living room into outer space itself. She was thinking of this when Kat entered, wearing a night gown and munching something. “The rain! Goodness, I really wonder if it actually was Voldemort’s curse. That’s what many out there were joking.” “Well, say something!” said she and waited. “What were they wearing? I mean, the leading threesome?”
“Oh!” Kat’s face lit up. “Emma Watson wore this gorgeous full-length vintage dress, designed by Ossie Clark, I heard. She looked gorgeous! Daniel and Rupert were in suits, Daniel was in this comely pink shirt with smart grey trousers.” She added as an afterthought and blushed, “He looked all so cute with his dark hair soppy.” “How I wish the rain hadn’t played spoilsport.” “But you know what, inspite of the rain, Daniel chatted on and took time to sign autographs too.”
“Tiffany, itseems approximately 3,000 fans flooded Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of the stars.” I switched on the LED TV again and Daniel was there, smiling and posing for photographs.“Ah, Tiffany” said Kat dreamily. “How I wish I could board The Hogwarts Express. How I wish it were all real. How I wish I could date Daniel” “That my dear” said I “Can happen only if you brew him a Love Potion. Why don’t you ask Snape, as Lockhart suggested?” The two young women bursted out laughing.
