Cello C1973F IPOD 19” LCD TV happens to fall in the second category. From newbie Cello, this LCD TV could actually make for a very utile Christmas present for your teenage daughter or son. This TV is an all-rounder even though it comes in such a small size. To point out, it has a built-in iPod dock in the upper edge and a built-in DVD player! Wow, that's a lot for a 19 incher, right?

Cello C1973F IPOD HD-Ready LCD TV has a display resolution of 1440x900 and a quoted contrast ratio of 850:1. Moving on to the performance, there's nothing worthy of praise, colours and black levels are just about acceptable while HD and motion handling are visibly poor. But hey, one must remember that it's a 19” TV and given the price, we might as well not dwell on it. Audio, is very disappointing. Music and voices lack depth and body. But standard definition is apparently the telly's forte, it gets through our SD test with more than a mere pass. The C1973F has a deck that is capable of handling CD, CD-R, CD-RW, HD-CD, picture CD, WMA and SVCD diskettes, which is more than sufficient.
The TV's iPod dock is capable of supporting all iPod and iPhones, something that shows it in good light. The set weighs just 5Kg and sports a neat set of connectivity options including one
HDMI, a D-Sub PC input, a headphone jack, RF input and a coaxial digital audio output. Though the Cello C1973F IPOD LCD TV does not fare extremely well in terms of video and audio performance, it's cute enough to make your teen scream with ecstasy when he finds it tucked under the Christmas tree.
